April Ross
April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball stars who have managed to get medals from multiple Olympics. Alix Kallineman is set to compete alongside April Ross at Tokyo to take home her third gold medal during the coming days. However, more importantly Ross wants to secure the first Olympic gold. This could be the final chance she'll ever have as she is 39 years old. She is nevertheless confident that top honors are firmly on the horizon. Ross stated to NBC Boston that he believes if they play their best, or even an excellent game, we'll be in the running for gold. Additionally, I'm going attempt to get fortunate. Ross came into the world in 1982. Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and sister. When she was at Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many sports. In addition to the indoor game, she played basketball and ran track while professional athletes. It was clear that she was cut above the rest when it came to the second sport. When she played in her college volleyball years in her college information, she played as middle blocker, outside hitter, and setter. The results of her efforts were acknowledged by her being named the 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions' National Players of the Year. Her skills in volleyball earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in 2000. Though Ross and Klineman are a couple from 2017 onward, the former had been an experienced player on the beach scene prior to their team. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. One of them is an icon in the world of volleyball. Between 2007 and 2013, she was working with Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Kessy and Ross were an impressive force on the world stage, claiming an overall world title in 2009. In 2012, the team were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. They were defeated for the gold medal by the famous team comprising Misty and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. The duo went on to earn the beach volleyball bronze at the Rio Olympics in 2016. After graduating from high school and a couple of years before she hit the sand professionally, Ross made her debut with the Trojans of USC as an NCAA. Her time at USC was awe-inspiring. In 2000, she was recognized as Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year, and was also an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to reach the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss in her sophomore year However, she came back as an All-American. For her two final years she led the Trojans to the top of the hill and clinched consecutive national titles. Individually she had cemented herself as a legendary player by winning this year's Honda Sports Award as the best female volleyball player. Ross studied the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter achieve the heights of the field in volleyball. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001, when Ross was still at the age of a USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. Her mother is still very dearly. Margie remains an inspiration at the beach, and throughout her life.
